“Hi,” I said. “My name is Bob. What’s your’s?”
“Bobette,” said the girl. “It’s nice to meet you.”
“Yeah,” I said, smiling.
The girl looked at her watch. “Wow, look at the time. I have to go.”
I frowned a modest. “Well, then, bye!”
“Bye!”
“Hello, Newman,” I said with a scathing squint.
“Hello, Jerry,” Newman answered, meeting my stare.
