I’ve ѕtаrtеd writing a book, bυt i need tο know thе criteria аnd information i mυѕt рlасе іntο thе first chapter. I hаνе οnlу written small tаlеѕ аnd poems аnd ѕο thіѕ іѕ mу first time really trying tο write a book.I need hеlр іn a аnу way doable! Alѕο maybe give mе ѕοmе topics thаt maybe уου yourself wουld bе attracted іn conception. I want something along thе lines οf a romance…
how about once upon a time, dumb girl with green reptilian fetish kisses frog, frog turns into guy with hard on,they screw then live happily ever after etc .the end
okay started is the toughest part there is no criteria this is your book and books don’t have to follow rules, so start at the beggining, and i personally don’t like romance but it’s your book don’t let the popcorn eaters tell you what they want to read you tell them what they want to read P.S. excellent luck and don’t give up it took me like two years but i got a book published and so can you oh and don’t forget to have fun
if i knew then i would have started to writwe a book myself
You’ve really got to figure out your thoughts on your own, not get them from other people. It may take a while but when you get it it will be fantastic. Trust me.
describe the setting, introduce the characters.
What you need to do, is come up with your characters. And get to know them, so they are simple to write about, like details about what they look like, what there favorite color is, what there favorite movie or is, how would they handle certain problems? How would they react to certain things? Even though you won’t place all of that into your book, it is better to know everything about them, so you can right about them simpler. And then for you first chapter, you need to organize the plot into the first chapter, but don’t let everything out in the first chapter.
I’m not much into romance but when I do read it I like the paranormal romance.
As to writing the first chapter, I just sat down one day and started writing. After the first 50 pages I handed it to my sister-in-law told her to read it and tell me what was missing. She did and now I have a whole new first chapter and my book is now up to 186 pages. Now I just wished I knew how to get it published.
The first chapter of your book is predestined to introduce your main character, first and foremost. You need to let your readers get an attachment to the character. If the reader isn’t attached or rooting for your protagonist, then they will have no desire to read the rest of the book. You can start to lay the foundation for your plot if you need to, but it really depends on the book.
In all my books I really delve right into some form of action to catch the reader’s attention. Once I have their attention I get them hooked on my protagonist and introduce my conundrum. (naturaly if there isn’t a conundrum for the protagonist to overcome there is no tale).
Join a writer’s group after you write your first chapter and let them look over it. Feedback is key for beginning writers.
It’s a common conundrum for many writers, but can be solved in many ways. But, I’ve got a few suggestions for you. It’s up to you on what you want to include in the first chapter. Just remember, this chapter is what hooks the readers, it’s supposed to grip them into conception the rest of the book. Leave a modest information unanswered so they question questions to themselves, let them want figure it out by conception more.
You don’t have to include a lot of information, even introducing some sort of conflict or protagonist would be enough.
Just write it. If you don’t like it, revise or rewrite. The digit one rule of writing: write.
There is no set way to start the writing process, there isn’t any specific information that needs to be included. The same way you would start telling a tale in a small or setting up a scene in a poem is the same way you start a manuscript.
And there is no magic resolution that will give you the best selling novel of all time. J. K. Rowling wrote about an imaginary world of her own building so she could have an escape. Tolkien made his world in the most complete make because he wanted to, down to the languages, the writing, the histories, the clothes, the land, the kingdoms and such. Stevenson was on the most drug induced high when he wrote some of his novels but he made his worlds because he was homebound and dying.
Inspiration is where you find it try to delight in the trip.
Write it as you would write your small tale. There’s no algorithm, no equation that can equal a gripping beginning.
You must come up with your thoughts yourself. Creative writing requires, at the very least, the ability to come up with an thought. If you cant do that, then you are looking at the incorrect leisure activity. If you mean genres, I’m a sucker for the romance scifi with a bit of fantasy, maybe a hint of the psychological thriller. Write what YOU would read.
