    @gloomybrica Unfortunately for you, you lose the bet. There are HUNDREDS of people taking ASL lessons on my website with more people joining all the time. These are people looking for a teacher that is qualified and knows what he’s doing. They’re not attracted in wasting their time watching videos of a bunch of random signs on YouTube from someone who has no thought how to teach ASL.

  • gloomybrica:

    @BYUFanatic Doesn’t matter. I bet people don’t buy that.

    @BYUFanatic now i just learned that i just was doing the whole thing incorrect. i am still going to try but i reckon a modest more research is in store.

  • BYUFanatic:

    @WhoseLineFanKgWb Bummer! Sorry that your school doesn’t offer ASL. Glad you’re motivated to learn though! Excellent luck and keep at it!

  • WhoseLineFanKgWb:

    thank you so much. i am just going into high school but unfortunately there is no ASL program or club. i have been trying to self-teach myself but it is very hard. thanks i am gonna keep working at it(:

    Although I take a class at my highschool, I sometimes feel as though I’m not being pushed enough by my teacher. In my spare time ASL is my leisure activity, seeing as I plot on turning it into my future career. Thank you for building this website, I use others but want to have yours be a part of my ever growing ASL education. : )

  • RJReganKristie:

  • BYUFanatic:

    @FreulerAZ You’re most welcome! The site and community college classes will be an brilliant way for you to learn ASL!

  • BYUFanatic:

    @RJReganKristie You are very welcome! *smile* Hope you delight in the site.

  • FreulerAZ:

    Always wanted to find a site to learn ASL at my own pace. Will probably also take a class at the community community college. Thanks!

  • RJReganKristie:

    Going to check it out thanks so much !

  • BYUFanatic:

    @MistroEduardo THANK YOU! *smile*

  • MistroEduardo:

    LOVE IT!

  • lilnetty2:

    @BYUFanatic I get it a modest more each class/exposure. Feels like my brain is squeaking , using that part of it.

  • BYUFanatic:

    @redneck1155 You’re very welcome. :)

  • BYUFanatic:

    @lilnetty2 Yep! Wanted to make sure that the “signing-impaired” could be with you. *smile*

  • redneck1155:

    nice thanks

  • lilnetty2:

    excellent to see with captions, thanks .

  • Puldoh0213:

    Hi, just saw your video. Only one critique before I check out your website. One, you were signing very quick. I read the subtitles to keep up, but I would like it a modest slower. Now off to your site.

  • JayBeeBass:

    @BYUFanatic This explanation here is the word of caution I was looking for. I reckon your point is well made here and not so much before And, you may be a wonderful and gifted teacher….but spending a lot of cash studying any language and even being certified does not mean that someone “will” be a excellent teacher!!! If it’s looking for you…success will find you! jb

  • BYUFanatic:

    @LadyF71 Glad you found this channel! *smile* Excellent luck on learning ASL! I’m sure you’ll fall in like with the language (as I have).

  • BYUFanatic:

    @JayBeeBass Thank you. :)

  • BYUFanatic:

    @JayBeeBass There is a HUGE difference between a “place down” and a word of caution.

    Am I “disparagement or humilitating” ASL students posing as teachers? Not hardly.

    Have I, a Deaf person who is a member of the Deaf world, and also happens to be a qualified, professional ASL teacher, REPEATEDLY seen first-hand the hurt done by those who give the fake impression that ASL is a “lesser language” and anyone can teach it? Quite so!

  • JayBeeBass:

    I just like this…..

  • JayBeeBass:

    I don’t really have an opinion about whether or not you must charge for your service. I do have an opinion about your “place downs” of others who you reckon may not have your “skills”; I don’t reckon it’s necessary!
    I started to learn ASL many years ago to help my friends (who are deaf). At that time there were very few books or teachers available (no internet). Perhaps your schooling and skills exceed mine, but I have by no means charged anyone for my help and I have by no means had a complaint! jb
