used this for a week and despised it, would rate 3/10, conception sucks, speech recognition sucks as well i had it on the highest difficulty and at first it recognized it, then it didn’t and i was saying the same words.
i would NOT suggest buying this at all.
although it did teach me some chinese, but not very much.
我會說中文.
这个软件不错
i want to know if this is excellent for learning the characters, could someone please tell me?
I am getting Mandarin level 1 for Christmas so I wanted to see what it looked like. This video really got me excited for it and now I know what to expect. Thanks
I would recommend it. I started about a month ago. I’m on level 1 unit 3 and I’ve learned a lot. Excellent luck if you do do it.
Would anyone here recommend getting this? Don’t mind the cost, just wondering if its worth the time and effort?
i see your version does not use simplified characters.
Nü is a female tense and Nàn is a male tense and Rèn simlpy means person. So it literally means female person
@JamesF153 i dont reckon you watched the entire video…..
Thank you, this was incredibly useful. I am already studying Spanish with Rosetta Stone, so I know their method suits me, but had a few questions about Chinese, and you’ve answered them all for me.
@HennoG22 I was wondering that as well, I thought it predestined ‘hello’ but to a group. They must really give an english version rather than just presuming
Well I just bought Mandarin.
And this looks PRETTY HARD!!
I’m in for an awakening…
Wish me luck!! lol
is there an option for simplifid characters and how far does the schooling go. i am kinda over the beginner status but like the thought of the pronounciation
christ almighty chinese looks really tough, anyone know how their symbols work, are they just randomly made or is there any kind of pattern to them?
@HennoG22 well, nuren means “female person.” nanren means “male person”
@JamesF153, there is an option to show either the characters, the pinyin, or both at the same time.
so what does the nu ren really mean literally (word for word), and what about the nan ren? sorry i have by no means done chinese! Nice video btw!
I’m learning Chinese right now.
Thanks for posting! :]
