I must say Spanish, because Spanish will be used alot in life. If he dominates Spanish he will dominate the two main languages on Earth like me.

Definately Spanish. The reason I say Spanish is because it is a huge language nowadays. Also once he become fluent in Spanish it would be simpler for him to learn French, another huge language.

Certainly Arabic. While Spanish is a useful language, Spanish speakers are getting incredibly simple to find. Arabic speakers are in fantastic demand and becoming more and more in demand every day.
Also, for when the time comes for him to take his SAT Subject tests, the Spanish test is virtually impossible. Tons of native Spanish speakers were coming to take it and getting perfect or near-perfect scores, so the test has been changed so that even native speakers can’t ace it. It’s not this way with Arabic.

Spanish will be much simpler for your son to learn. Its a romance language derived from latin, and English has many latin roots, thanks to the infusion of french (also a romance language)

Spanish will also be more matter-of-fact for him, considering a large population of the US speaks only spanish, and all the countries south of the US are spanish speaking.

If his only choices are Spanish and Arabic, than I suggest Spanish because it will be simpler to learn, and probably more useful unless he plans to go into translations or a company that facility with Arabs. If he has other choices, Latin could come in to use later in life, on the SAT’s and if he plans to go into knowledge, law, or math. It obviously won’t come in handy while communicating though.
